How to get mud out of carpets
No matter where you leave, mud is always a problem especially during the rainy season. The almighty snow and rain can make it very hard to keep the mud from your carpets. We have provided you with the best way to get mud out of carpets.
Step 1- Let the mud dry
This is the most crucial part of mud removal. Leaving the mud to dry off makes it much easier to remove and also avoiding rubbing the mud deeper into your carpet’s fibers.
Step 2- Slowly vacuum the affected area to remove the dirt
Now that the mud is dry, slowly vacuum the stained area to remove the dirt. Try to vacuum slowly in order to remove more dirt.
- Vacuum for two to three times longer than your normally do.
Step 3- Remove the dirt with detergent solution
After you have removed as much dirt as possible by vacuuming over the stained spot, it is time to move on to a detergent solution.
- Mix one teaspoon dish washing detergent to one cup lukewarm water.
- Use a white cloth to blot the solution. The white cloth will allow you to see the stain lifting.
Step 4- Continue blotting
Continue blotting, until the satin is gone
Step 5- Blot with a clean towel
Gently blot with a clean rag or paper towel to dry the area. The stain should be gone at this stage.
